Learn origami on your Lumia

In a marriage of technology and tradition, the art of origami comes to Lumia.

Folding a single piece of paper into a mantis, a box, or a crane requires knowledge, skill, and patience.

Free to download, the Origami app for Windows Phone has a very systematic approach to help you create decorative shapes and figures.

First, select the shape you want to make. The one with the fewest steps to construct is the boat, with six. The most has 33, which is the lily.

Then, follow the step-by-step guide closely, paying attention to whether the folds go behind or in front, and you’ll soon be an origami master.

Here’s a couple I made earlier, using the Origami app:

Tip: the thicker the paper, the more difficult it will be to fold.

Craft your own origami creation! Download the Origami app here or search for “Origami” in the app store on your Lumia.

Have a go yourself and share your creations with us in the comments section below.
