Class is in session! It’s time to announce the winner of a Microsoft Lumia 735, Microsoft Dual Portable Charger, Treasure Tag, and Microsoft backpack.
Last month, we introduced you to our Student’s Survival Kit, a pack of essential Lumia devices, tools and apps that can help any student be more productive.
We challenged you to tell us why you needed the survival kit for an opportunity to win it.
You entered in droves! Picking a single winner was incredibly difficult; many of your entries were both touching and imaginative. But as the Highlander would say, there can be only one.
We’re proud to announce that the winner of the Student’s Survival Kit is….
This Ohio-based mom, social worker, volunteer, and student—she’s now studying for her master’s degree in social work—says the survival kit will help organize her busy life.
“I am hoping to win this kit to help make my busy, hectic, chaotic life more manageable and to help me get through school the best way possible!” Kellie wrote.
Here’s more of her winning entry:
“Social workers don’t make a lot of money, so this kit is something I couldn’t go and buy for myself.
“Not only will I be heading back to school, but I work full-time for our county public children services agency, am a mother, and I do community work as a volunteer for our city’s recreational football league as a board member.
“All of these things require an ability to schedule and keep on track, and what better way to do that than with a Lumia 735? Having more memory and a better camera would not only be helpful with school but in life overall as I often take pics of injuries to children and take pics of my son during his games.
“The portable charger would be amazing to have and would be sooo helpful as I often need charging capability due to heavy phone use and don’t always have access to it.
“The treasure tags? Hello! I swear I would lose my head if it were not attached so this would be perfect for me! I am constantly losing my phone, car keys, you name it and I can lose it!!
“The navigation apps are great and extremely useful as I have to go daily into places I am not familiar with. My school is also about an hour away and I don’t yet know how to get there without a navigation system.”
Congratulations, Kellie—we’ll be in touch with you very soon!
