1TB Surface Book & Surface Pro 4 available in 10 new markets starting today

Written By published June 30, 2016

Even more people can get their hands on the most powerful versions of Surface Book and Surface Pro 4

Ever since Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 launched in October, we’ve loved seeing and hearing from our customers as they discover the power and versatility of Surface. We’re happy to announce that 1TB storage-configurations of both Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book are becoming available in 10 additional markets starting today, with more to follow this summer. In addition to the amazing storage capacity, these are the most powerful Surface models we offer, with 6th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 processors, 16 GB of RAM and, in the case of Surface Book, discrete NVIDIA® GeForce® graphics.

Surface Pro 4
Surface Pro 4 is perfect for people who desire an ultraportable tablet with the power of a laptop.

Even in our cloud-connected world, 1 TB of SSD storage is a powerful addition to the device for customers who put a premium on having all of their work with them wherever they go. We talk to videographers and photographers who want the capacity to capture hundreds of large image files every day and process them in real time, without having to go back to their studios. We hear from engineers, designers and researchers who render large files and work with huge amounts of data who appreciate the ability to access what they need whether they’re connected to a network or not, without being tied to a desk or office. Finally, there are people in a huge variety of fields – from legal to sales to medicine to digital art and music – who depend on a library of presentations, digital content, and image and video files relating to client projects who want truly instant access to all of these resources on job sites, in the air, and wherever else they may find themselves. This is where 1TB of SSD storage can be invaluable, giving these power users the peace of mind they want and need, that they can store everything on their device without sacrificing weight, performance and speed, or aesthetics.

Surface Book optional GPU
An optional discrete GPU allows Surface Book to harness the full power of hardware-accelerated graphics for seamless photo and video editing, fast rendering, or immersive gaming.

In addition to the United States and Canada, where both devices are already available, the 1TB Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book will go on sale in Australia, Austria, China, France, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom online-only through Microsoft Stores and participating partner retailers and authorized resellers beginning today, June 30th with Germany and Japan to follow later this month. This summer, the 1TB Surface Pro 4 will also be available in Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands.
