Sonic Dash runs rings around other classic games

If you started playing console games in the 90s, chances are you spent hours commanding a blue hedgehog to collect as many golden rings as possible.

For those looking for some nostalgia mixed in with a little modern-day magic, Sonic the Hedgehog is back in his first endless running game – Sonic Dash.

Much like any other endless running game, such as Subway Surfers or Despicable Me: Minion Rush you control your character to run as far as possible, collecting points or power-ups as you go.

Sonic-Dash

In Sonic Dash you start with the legend himself, Sonic the Hedgehog, and by swiping left or right on the screen, he’ll move in the direction of your choosing.

As you proceed, you’ll encounter various obstacles you need to dodge, jump over (by swiping up) or slide under (by swiping down).

For any critters that may get in the way, a swipe down will also activate the Spin Attack, sending the enemies flying.

Naturally, as with any Sonic game, you’ll be collecting golden rings as you run.

While you start with Sonic, other characters are available as you advance in the game, such as Tails, Shadow and Knuckles.
