Nokia and China Postel – what a reaction!

CHINA – News of Nokia’s strategic alliance with China Postel has created quite a stir. The story, released on Friday, outlined the scope of the deal which will see China Postel commit to purchasing at least USD 2billion worth of handsets from Nokia in 2008.

And it’s no surprise really. The deal will help Nokia maintain and grow its 35 per cent market share in China. Nokia and China Postel will also work together on a variety of sales and marketing initiatives. Nokia has been a leader in the Chinese mobile phone market since 2004.
