Your Lumia Instagramer of the Month: Minh Thanh

Once again, we asked for your help deciding which talented photographer will be March’s Instagramer of the Month, and once again you came through in fine style. 

It was a tough decision, because each of our five candidates have some seriously impressive work on their Instagram accounts. But now the votes are in, and you’ve chosen none other than Minh Thanh, known as thanhminht on Instagram. Minh is from Da Nang City, a stunning port city in Vietnam that is famous for its beaches and bridges, and says that his hometown is “a big source of inspiration for a lot of my photos. In my free time, I often go out to take photos of landscapes, bridges or interesting things with my Lumia phone. I truly love photographing, love my city, and keeping beautiful moments of my hometown makes me happy.”

Which Lumia do you have and what do you like most about it?

I have the Lumia 1020. What I like most about my Lumia is the design and build quality, almost as much as the camera.

Where do you shoot most of your photos and what sort of photos do you like to take best?

Well, most of my photos are taken in Danang, with the romantic Han River harmoniously complementing significant architectural works. When the sun goes down, Han River wears a radiant jacket reflected from street and building lights along the banks. The river now looks like a colorful silk strip winding across the heart of the city.

What are your top tips for taking Instagram photos on your Lumia?

Always carry a tripod and grip camera. When I try to shoot a frame, I always consider it as a square. I also always use the setting of Lumia camera in the low light and the adjustment shutter speed is one of the most practical features of Lumia camera.
