We’ve been talking a bit about how developer can leverage the same code to deliver similar applications on both Windows and Windows Phone. In a related vein, we wanted to showcase the outstanding work the .NET team has done in releasing a new, portable class library version of HttpClient. This library now makes it easier for developers to write code for their HTTP operations that can be leveraged across Windows and Windows Phone.
This week, Andy Wigley and Mike Taulty from Microsoft UK guest hosted Inside Windows Phone to walk through the basics of using the HttpClient portable class library, as well as how to take advantage of the automatic decompression support.
