Last April, we announced that the option would be available for developers to respond to user reviews. This new capability enables developers to respond to reviews of Windows Phone apps directly from Dev Center.
The feedback from all developers who have been able to respond to reviews has been very positive so far, with developers using this feature to help users resolve questions, inform them of a new version of the app, and increase user satisfaction with their apps.
I am pleased to announce that today we completed the rollout of this feature to all eligible Windows Phone developers.
To use this feature, go to Dev Center, select the Dashboard for Windows Phone, then select one of your published Windows Phone apps and look at the reviews screen. If you see the “Respond” box in the lower right corner of the review, your account is ready to respond to reviews.
This feature is designed to respond to user concerns and questions, and should not be used to spam your users, reengage with previous users, or advertise additional apps or services, as described in the Respond to Reviews guidelines. Microsoft retains the right to revoke a developer’s permission to send responses when developers don’t follow the guidelines.
