Introducing AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series GPUs

A few weeks ago, AMD introduced the first products in the company’s next generation of high-end DirectX 11 graphics cards – the AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series. The Radeon HD 6800 Series represents AMD’s second-generation DirectX 11 capable architecture and has up to 2 times the tessellation performance of the ATI Radeon HD 5000 Series while also bringing the performance of the ATI Radeon HD 5800 series down to the “gamer’s sweet spot” and using 25% less silicon. AMD Radeon 6800 Series graphics cards feature brand new morphological anti-aliasing, support for both DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 1.4a, AMD Eyefinity technology for up to 6 displays supported on one graphics card, and AMD HD3D for 3D experiences. They also feature Unified Video Decoder 3 which is a dedicated video playback accelerator designed for you to get the best video playback experience, including playing Blu-ray movies.
