Use an Eye-Fi Memory Card to Wirelessly Sync Photos Windows Live Photo Gallery

I’ve been blogging about the new features in Windows Live Photo Gallery 2011 such as Photo Fuse and facial recognition for quickly tagging people in your photos over the last couple months. You can download the new Photo Gallery, which is part of Windows Live Essentials 2011, by clicking here. Photo Gallery makes it simple and easy for you to organize, edit, and share pictures. And we are continuously working on finding new ways to make your photo experience even more fun. With that in mind, we are partnering with Eye-Fi to provide an automatic and wireless way for you to import pictures from your camera into Windows Live Photo Gallery.

A special Eye-Fi SDHC memory card that fits in your camera just like any regular SDHC memory card that has built-in Wi-Fi that connects to your wireless network at home to effortlessly transfer photos and videos to your PC. When you open Photo Gallery, the photos that were automatically wirelessly synced from your camera using Eye-Fi should appear! It also (WPS) geotags your photos with the location they are taken at which can be seen in Photo Gallery as well. Eye-Fi also has a special mode, called “Endless Memory”, where your Eye-Fi card will automatically free up space once your photos and videos have been safely delivered.

To celebrate how easy it is to manage photos you sync to your PC with Windows Live Photo Gallery, Eye-Fi is putting on a contest where you can enter to win 1 or 10 5 Eye-Fi cards! Click here to read about the contest from Eye-Fi’s blog and you can enter the contest here on their Facebook page.

You can buy an Eye-Fi card today online or at retail stores.
