Live at CES 2011: Samsung cranks up the industrial design with Sliding PC 7 Series and Notebook 9 Series laptops

If you’re a regular reader of the blog, you know that I am in love with Samsung’s industrial design.  The QX410 and SF510 have been two of my favorites (I recently brought them with me to our Holiday PC Showcase Events), but Samsung has really taken things to the next level with the new multi-touch Sliding PC 7 Series laptop and the insanely thin and light Notebook 9 Series laptop that they’re showing on at CES.  I met up with Scott Ledterman, Samsung’s Director of Mobile Computing Product Marketing, to get hands-on time with both and to get some insight into how – and why – they built such impressive hardware.

Fun fact: Samsung has the largest booth at CES 2011.

I’ll be at CES 2011 for the entire show, meeting with our hardware partners to get a behind-the-scenes look at their newest, most innovative gear.  Keep up with me by following me on Twitter @BenThePCGuy, and let me know if you have any questions by sending me a tweet with the hashtag #askben
