HP introduces new consumer desktops

Following last week’s commercial and consumer notebook refresh, HP dropped three new desktop PCs today.  They all look really sharp, have great specs, and come at very, very reasonable price points.

Here’s what’s new:

  • First up is the HP Pavilion p7 series. They’re designed for users who are looking for a nice everyday PC and working off a modest budget.  Even though the price is low, the specs are good – big hard drives, powerful graphics, and mult-channel surround sound are included in each one.  The new p7’s land on May 18th starting at $299.99

  • The new HP Pavilion Slimline s5 series is perfect if you’re looking for a full featured desktop, but don’t have a lot of space to work with.  They’re less than half the size of a “traditional” tower but have everything you need in terms of performance.  They’ll be available next month on June 15th, starting at $329.99

  • Last, but definitely not least, is the HP HPE h8 series.  This is HP’s new top-of-the-line Pavilion desktop, and they come back with up to three hard drives, massively powerful Core i7 or AMD Phenom processors, and high-end GPUs from both NVDIA and AMD. Great if you’re power user – or a power gamer.  You can get them starting on May 18th for $599.99 and up.
