#BlogHer11 – 4 Things Windows Learned During the Conference

I had the frenzy and fun of joining with hundreds of bloggers last week in San Diego California to attend the penultimate blogging event of the year. Well there we met lots of fascinating and interesting people (hi, The Online Mom and Spanglish Baby) and learned a few things that we felt worth sharing.

1.) It might be called BlogHer but there were a few great dad bloggers in attendance including the ever fun and engaging @Troypattee who is the voice behind Dadventerous – a humorous dad blog about his life with @jylMIF.

2.) Mom bloggers are way prettier than the moms I knew growing up. We took a sunset sail with them that felt almost like a photo shoot. Given how pretty everyone in attendance was, I snapped a boatload (awful pun…) of photos, uploaded them to SkyDrive and used the very easy-to-use Windows Live Writer to insert them in a slide show here.

3.) Flash mobs never go out of style especially if you edit and upload them with Windows Live Movie Maker (thanks to @5minutesformom); watch the video here.

4.) Sometimes we can still get a lot done without ever being connected to wireless internet as Janice Croze points to in this great MomCrunch post about Windows Live Writer (which also covers other cool Windows features).

A big thanks to all the bloggers who we met with at this year’s BlogHer’11. Make sure to check back often on this blog to see the great programs and activities that we are creating within the blogger community!
