CES: Nokia Lumia 900, gorgeous and 4G fast, comes to AT&T

Here’s the CES news I know many of you have been waiting for. Nokia just took the wraps off its flagship U.S. Windows Phone—the chic Lumia 900—announcing it will be available exclusively from AT&T this spring. Man, I can’t wait to get my hands on this one.

If you’re keeping score, the Lumia 900 is Nokia’s third Windows Phone—and its first designed for AT&T’s 4G LTE network. (The phone joins the HTC Titan II, announced earlier today, in AT&T’s 4G LTE lineup.)

As you can see from the shots below, the Lumia 900 is definitely a looker: The thinnest of the three Lumias, the phone’s exquisitely-crafted polycarbonate exterior radiates the kind of industrial cool you’d expect from the Finnish phone giant and also rebuffs scuffs and scratches. The phone is packed with a big 4.3-inch AMOLED screen, 8 megapixel camera with an exclusive Carl Zeiss wide-angle lens (f2.2/28mm), and 1 megapixel front-facing camera for video chats. At f2.4, the front camera is also nice and fast so people can actually see your face, and it’s wide angle for group chats.

A 1.4 gigahertz Snapdragon processor sizzles under the hood.

The Lumia 900 will come in cyan and matte black and feature a slew of exclusive apps, games, and content from ESPN, CNN, Electronic Arts, Univision, Sesame Street Workshop, and others. Once it goes on sale, it shouldn’t be hard to find: The Lumia 900 is slated to be the featured phone in all of AT&T’s 2400 U.S. stores.

In other Lumia news, don’t forget that Nokia’s first U.S. Windows Phone—the nifty Lumia 710—goes on sale at T-Mobile starting Wednesday. My colleague Ben Rudolph will be getting up close and personal with HTC Titan II and the Lumia 710. Keep your eyes out for his video shortly. And check out the official Nokia blog for some great video of the Lumia 900 and Nokia’s site for this cool tour of the phone.
