Windows Announcing Jeannie Mai as #BlogHer12 Celebrity Stylist for #windowstyle Makeovers

We did a lot of work looking into who would be the best celebrity stylist for our BlogHer’12 makeovers. We wanted to find someone who was empowering, positive and helped women become the best versions of themselves. We wanted someone who thought about clothes not just by designers and cut but by how you felt when you were wearing them. Finally, we wanted to also bring someone into the fold who has their own blog and gets what blogging is all about. So, we are thrilled that Jeannie Mai (celebrity stylist, blogger, and “wearapist”) accepted our request to host the #windowstyle makeovers!

MAI JEANNIE - Headshot (2)

Jeannie Mai is best known as the host of The Style Network’s two-time Emmy nominated television program “How Do I Look?”. More than just a fashion-intervention show, Jeannie empowers women to discover their true beauty, overcome their insecurities, and employ fashion to give them the confidence they need to help achieve their career goals. Jeannie can also be currently seen as the digital correspondent for the hit NBC show “Fashion Star”, connecting viewers to the mentors, contestants and stylists through the web. She was also the on-camera fashion expert tasked with contestant makeovers on NBC’s hit franchise “Biggest Loser” and she hosted the 2012 Golden Globe Awards NBC pre-show live on the red carpet. Throughout her career she has worked with celebrities including: Sarah Jessica Parker, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Aniston, Christina Aguilera, and Kelly Osbourne.

Jeannie has made it her mission to inspire, educate, and empower women. This passion for empowerment has given her the title of “Wearapist”. The title comes from her psychology of style she calls “Wearapy” – a belief that style and wardrobe can have an empowering and healing effect on a woman’s confidence and mood. Rather than focusing on trends or labels, Jeannie teaches how color and textures in personal wardrobe choices can dramatically enhance a woman’s self-confidence and mood, while transforming the environment of situations around her.

Now, she’ll be joining us August 3rd on the floor at BlogHer’12 to give 5 lucky entrants a chance to win a $1500 dream makeover, the Samsung Series 7 Slate, a Samsung Focus 2 Windows Phone, Microsoft Hardware mice, and more! You have until Friday to enter and you can find all the rules here.

Plus, she’ll be joining us for our Spreecast on style and trends hosted by the delightful Susan of 5 Minutes for Mom. You should RSVP if you’re in person for an intimate 25 attendee luncheon or join online. All are eligible to win great gifts including a Samsung Series 7 slate, a copy of Office, great Microsoft Hardware mice and more!

I’m so excited to introduce you all to Jeannie and cannot wait to announce the winners as we ambush you via Twitter during the conference. So keep an eye on the hashtag, keep an eye out for Jeannie and tweet us with questions, excitement or just because: @jeanniemai and @kristinalibby.
