Tech Tuesday Live Twitter Chat with HP on Keeping Kids Safe as They Head Back to School #winchat

HP recently commissioned a survey to find out more about how people were using technology online. In particular, they were focused on children ages 6-17. The results were surprising and interesting enough that we wanted to reach out and discuss how parents can be smarter and safer when it comes to the digital and online space (especially since they may be spending more time on the computer for school work). So, for this week’s Tech Tuesday Live Twitter Chat we are discussing what you need to keep your family safe and some tools and tricks that can help along the way.

Did you know that:

  • On average, children ages 6-17 are spending 3 hours alone with devices that have Internet access.
  • Computers become a major part of a child’s after-school routine by the age of 10.
  • Over a quarter (28%) of parents would trust their child with their credit card at the mall more than they would trust their child home alone on the computer.
  • More than one-third (35%) of parents think their children on an unsupervised computer have a bigger potential for danger than being at a friend’s house parent-free.

We’ll also be chatting about great HP All-In-One (AIO) PCs for families, including the HP ENVY 23 and the HP Pavillion 23. Oh, and one lucky #winchat tweeter is going to walk home with a brand new HP ENVY 23. Now, that’s something to make your Tuesday a whole lot brighter and hopefully your year safer.

To participate in the Tech Tuesday Live Twitter Chat:
