Today, Xbox is unveiling the first wave of games that will be available starting on October 26th on Windows 8. 29 of these games are from Microsoft Studios – some of which are exclusive to Windows 8. Xbox is also announcing support from Rovio, Miniclip, Gameloft, ZeptoLab, Glu Mobile, Halfbrick Studios who are also bringing Xbox games to Windows 8 in this first wave. Ongoing new releases will of course be available through the holiday and beyond.
Xbox games will be super easy to discover through the Games app that comes with Windows 8 and available through the Windows Store. Xbox games for Windows 8 will have Xbox Achievements as well as the ability to take advantage of certain Xbox features such as leaderboards, multiplayer modes, and connecting with friends.
