Two classic quiz shows go from TV to Windows Phone

Two of America’s most beloved TV game shows—Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune—kick off new seasons tonight. If you’re one of their wheel-spinning, letter-flipping, question-forming fans, check out the improved Windows Phone editions of each game. Publisher Sony Pictures not only just released major updates for each this past week, but rolled out the games for the first time to Windows Phone Stores in the US, Canada, UK, and other markets.

Jeopardy!

Jeopardy! for Windows Phone

Jeopardy! for Windows Phone ($1.99) recreates look and feel of the quiz show down to the handwritten names on the podiums (which you scrawl in with your finger) and real-life announcer Johnny Gilbert’s voice as you take the stage. Just like the TV show, the Windows Phone game tests your knowledge on topics ranging from popular culture to world history and features more than 2700 clues from the show’s writers. Buy it now

Wheel of Fortune

Wheel of Fortune for Windows Phone

Wheel of Fortune ($4.99) features more than 1,800 puzzles crafted by the show’s writers. Regular “Wheel” watchers will appreciate the authentic sound effects, music, and graphics. Thanks to a new update, the game now allows you to customize your avatar, choose different difficulty levels, and enjoy a pass-and-play multiplayer mode. (Jeopardy! has all these upgrades plus the ability to compete against computer players in solo mode.) Buy it now.
