Now in the Store: Uber

Getting around town just got easier. Uber, the fast-growing on-demand private car service, released its first app for Windows Phone today. Grab it here

The service, which operates in 30 cities around the world and growing, is a neat concept and often faster and more convenient than hailing a cab. When you’re ready to get picked up, just signal Uber via the app. Your driver knows precisely where you’re waiting, and you’ll be notified when to expect him. When your ride is over, the fare goes straight to your credit card—no paper receipts, no need to tip. Uber then emails you a detailed receipt and notes the charge in the app, too.
