New Windows Store game titles announced at GDC



We’ve blogged about quite a few amazing games in the Windows Store for Windows PCs and tablets – like Chimpact, Disney Fairies Hidden Treasures and the Skulls of the Shogun. And most recently, the cross-platform game Galactic Reign hit the Windows Store. This week at the 2013 Game Developer Conference, even more awesome games have been announced that are coming to the Windows Store! For those of you really into games – I thought I’d do a quick roundup.

Here are a list of new Windows Store games announced at GDC that will be available starting tonight and going into the weekend:

Bejeweled from PopCap – $4.99:

Discover all-new ways to match three gems in this beloved puzzle game. Samurai vs. Zombies from Glu – Free:

In addition to fun gameplay and high production-value graphics, Samurai vs. Zombies Defense provides full support for Windows 8 leaderboards, push notifications, Share, achievements and live tiles. With support for cloud storage you can play on the go, picking up from your last progress point regardless of what Windows 8 device you are playing on. You also have the option to connect an Xbox controller for a console style gaming experience, exclusively supported on Windows 8.

Emily’s True Love from GameHouse – Free:

Follow Emily around the world as she tries to reconnect with the one that got away. Emily’s True Love is one of the first full casual time management games in the Windows Store. The game takes full advantage of Windows 8 features, including support for Snap, sharing and live tiles. Cinematic cut-scenes enhance the story and look beautiful in the immersive, full-screen experience. Enjoy four levels for free and a la carte options for purchasing restaurants. Upgrade to the full version for $6.99. GameHouse is rolling out some of their most popular game titles on Windows 8, beginning with the launch of Emily’s True Love, and they expect to have about a dozen games on Windows 8 devices within the year.

Shuffle Party from Microsoft Game Studios – Free:

The hit 3D Shuffleboard Bowling is now available on Windows 8, enabling you to compete in various shuffleboard games using your Xbox Avatar. Play in multiple game play modes such as bowling, challenge mode, shuffleboard, pass-n-play and the all new league bowling mode. Win currency to purchase custom tabletops, pucks and more. Shuffle Party is perfect for touch and works equally well with keyboard and mouse.

Temple Run Brave from Disney – Coming Soon:

Hone your archery skills by tapping targets to shoot a bull’s eye and earn extra coins. Beautiful visuals and a full-screen layout immerses you in the world of Temple Run Brave and the wilds of Scotland. Snap the game to pause and show a list of achievements.

Emily’s Wonder Wedding from GameHouse – Coming Soon:
