In exclusive, Audible offers free audiobook for Windows Phone 8

Looking to distract yourself during the daily commute? Many people swear by digital audiobooks, and today Audible, one of the medium’s pioneers, launched an offer exclusive for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 customers in the U.S.—a free audiobook, just for trying out the service.* (To learn more about the Windows 8 offer, check out Kristina Libby’s latest post.)

To get your free audiobook, simply download the Audible app and then:

  1. Tap New to Audible on the sign-in screen
  2. Tap Create an account
  3. Pick your free book.

Your options are The Power Trip, Jackie Collins’ guilty glamorama pleasure; the high-tension Navy Seal autobiography American Sniper by Chris Kyle; and F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic The Great Gatsby, narrated by Jake Gyllenhaal (and coming soon to a theater near you). Once downloaded, your book will show up in your library and is available from the Audible app on all your devices. Offer ends May 13.
