iHeartRadio comes to Windows Phone 8

iHeartRadio, one of the most popular streaming Internet radio apps, made its debut on Windows Phone 8 this morning. Download it here

If like me you’ve been waiting for this one, you won’t be disappointed. The app lets you tune into more than 1500 live radio stations across the United States, plus create commercial-free custom stations from a pool for more than 15 million songs and 400,000 artists. And the Windows Phone 8 edition of the app also sports several cool new features:

  • Recommend stations. Find the soundtrack for studying, driving—even cleaning house.
  • Sleep Timer. Doze off to your favorite station.
  • Lock screen album art
  • Bookmarking: Pin favorite stations to your Start screen.
  • Universal search. Now you can search across the app.

Finally, to celebrate its Windows Phone 8 debut, the iHeartRadio folks are giving away a bunch of Nokia Lumia 920s. Check out iHeartRadio on Facebook for a chance to win.
