Dell announces new Inspiron PCs for the holidays

Dell today is announcing new additions to the Inspiron family of devices – including a brand new All-in-One.

Inspiron 7000 Series:

Inspiron 7000 series

The new Inspiron 7000 Series laptops are the thinnest Inspiron laptops built to date, and are constructed out of forged aluminum with diamond-cut beveled edges. They’re light but built to feel durable too.

The Inspiron 7000 Series will consist of 14-inch, 15-inch, and 17-inch models. The 14-inch – the Inspiron 14 – is the thinnest model with a 0.6-inch (15.3mm) design, which is 27% thinner than its predecessor, the Inspiron 14z. The 15-inch model – the Inspiron 15 – is under an inch thin (0.9 inches) with a large 15.6-inch screen and up to 7 hours, 24 minutes of battery life. And the 17-inch – the Inspiron 17 – is just over an inch thin (1.1 inches) and comes with an optical drive.

All Inspiron 7000 Series laptops will come with a 10-point multitouch display with edge-to-edge Corning Gorilla Glass NBT and feature backlit keyboards. The 14-inch and 15-inch models can come with optional Full HD, vibrant 300-nit touch displays featuring 97% more pixels than normal HD and 160-degree viewing angles.

The Inspiron 7000 Series comes powered by Intel 4th generation Core i5 and Core i7 processor options with SSD options on the 15-inch and 17-inch models. So not only are the Inspiron 7000 Series models great looking (thin and light!), they are also powerful too!

I will throw this in because I think it’s really cool but as part of Dell’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, the Inspiron 7000 Series will be their first line of devices to use wheat straw as part of its packaging. This is the part of the wheat plant that is burned by farmers and by using this in the packaging for these devices, Dell is helping customers shrink their carbon footprint.

The Inspiron 7000 Series laptops will start at $699 (U.S.) for the Inspiron 15 and $849 (U.S.) for the Inspiron 14 or Inspiron 17 and will be available beginning September 26th.

Inspiron 11 3000 Series:

The new Inspiron 11 3000 Series is a new ultra-portable model for someone who is on-to-go all the time but needs excellent performance and battery life. It measures only 0.83 inches (21.2mm) thin, weighs a little over 3 pounds (3.15 lbs.). It also comes with up to 8 hours, 20 minutes of battery life. The Inspiron 11 3000 Series features a 10-point multitouch display. And perfect for Skype, it also comes with noise-cancelling (dual-array) microphones helping make your audio conversations super clear when in public places.

The Inspiron 11 3000 Series starts at $379 (U.S.) and will be available beginning October 3rd.

Inspiron 23:

Dell is expanding their All-in-One portfolio with the Inspiron 23. The Inspiron 23 comes with a razor-thin design. It also comes with a 10-point full HD capacitive touch display. You can tilt the display at an angle that is close to you or lay it completely flat.

The Inspiron 23 will start at $999 (U.S.) and be available beginning October 1st.
