Dell began shipping their 8-inch Venue 8 Pro Windows tablet from Dell.com over a week ago.
I received mine and have been enjoying the heck out of this little device.
Starting at $299.99 (U.S.), the Venue 8 Pro has an incredible HD IPS display running at a 1280 x 800 resolution and an Intel Atom processor Z3740 (up to 1.8GHz Quad-Core) for really snappy performance and up to 10 hours of battery life. I’ve been using my Venue 8 Pro heavily to read books from NOOK and playing games like Avengers Initiative.
You can also pick up some optional accessories for the Venue 8 Pro – like the Dell Active Stylus, Dell Tablet Folio, and coming soon the Dell Tablet Wireless Keyboard. I grabbed the pen and folio myself.
Starting this week, the Venue 8 Pro will be available at Walmart, Costco, Office Max, Amazon.com and the Microsoft Store. And later this month, the Venue 8 Pro will be sold at MicroCenter, NewEgg, BJs and HH Greg.
Oh and if you’re looking for some color – a red version of the Venue 8 Pro will be available via Dell.com starting on November 18th.
