CES2014: Razer Showcases Christine, Futuristic Modular PC Concept

Razer is a leader in the gaming industry, including their complete lineup of gaming PCs. With iconic style, sleek form-factors and impressive specs, these Razer gaming PCs have almost a cult following in the Windows community. One of the ways that Razer pushes the technology envelope is to create forward-looking concept PCs. Razer doesn’t keep these concept PCs locked up in a secret lab, they share them with the world. This year at CES 2014 Razer unveiled a modular desktop concept PC called Project Christine that is gathering a lot of attention, and for good reason!

“Extreme PC Performance for Everyone” is the slogan that describes what Project Christine is about. With its modular design, you can upgrade or customize this PC by removing and attaching modules in just seconds. You can see how these modules attach when you first look at the PC, but what’s not immediately evident is the sophisticated cooling system. Inside modules, oil circulates and exchanges heat with the water that runs in the central cooling tower.

This modular system is possible because of the drip-free connectors that are used between each module and the central tower. With this cooling system Project Christine can push performance levels higher while at the same time running considerably quieter compared with air-cooled PCs.

In the following video, Razer’s Young Bae gives me a demonstration of the Project Christine PC and explains some of the unique features:

Wondering when you can get your hands on one of these PCs? Since Project Christine is only a concept PC at this point, there’s no ship date or official product announcements yet. If you want to see Project Christine become a reality, please let @Razer now how you feel! You can also sign up to receive updates on Project Christine at the official web page.
