HP announces new Pavilion x360 convertible PC, new business tablets

Yesterday, HP announce a few new devices including the new HP Pavilion x360 convertible as well as HP ElitePad 1000 and HP ProPad 600 business tablets.


The HP Pavilion x360 is convertible PC with touch that has a special 360-degree hinge that converts the PC into several modes: notebook mode, stand or tent mode, or tablet mode. You can see the Pavilion x360 in all those modes in the above photo. You can use it comfortably almost anywhere like at a desk or relaxing on the couch. It weighs a little over 3 pounds, comes with a beautiful 11.6-inch diagonal HD SVA display with 10-point capacitive multitouch and Intel Pentium processor, and comes in two colors: Brilliant Red and Smoke Silver. It also comes with Beats Audio (dual speakers) for great audio. And it also has mobile broadband capabilities too (HP’s DataPass service).

The HP Pavilion x360 is expected to be available in the Brilliant Red color in the on Feb. 26th for a starting price of $399.99 in the U.S.

HP has also given the HP ElitePad 1000 an upgrade. It now comes with a direct-bonded 10.1-inch diagonal WUXGA multitouch display that is outdoor viewable with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It also now comes with 4G mobile broadband capabilities. The ElitePad 1000 is HP’s thinnest tablet ever at just 9.2 mm thin and weighing only 1.5 pounds. The updated HP ElitePad 1000 is expected to be available in March for a starting price of $739 (U.S.).

The new HP ProPad is built for businesses who need mobility and all-day battery life. It comes with the latest Intel Atom Quad-Core Processor, a 10-inch high-res WUXGA display wih Corning Gorilla Glass, up to 64GB of storage with a microSD expansion slot for 32GB or more additional storage space. It also has a built-in micro-HDMI to connect to an external display but you can wirelessly display via Miracast as well. The HP ProPad is expected to be available in April.
