Ever since I got my Dell M3800 mobile workstation PC, I’ve been a huge fan of the work that Dell is doing with their latest lineup of mobile workstation PCs. Today Dell announced a new more affordable member of its mobile workstation lineup: the Dell Precision M2800. This 15”-class mobile workstation shares many mobile workstation attributes and capabilities with more expensive offerings, but starts at just $1,199.- a lower price-point compared with other 15” mobile workstation PCs. The M2800 has rugged reliability, powerful workstation graphics capabilities, and ISV certification for many of the popular creative and design apps that professionals rely on. This is a true workstation!
Here are some high-level specs for the Dell Precision M2800:
- Processors: 4th-generaion Intel Core i5 and i7 processors
- Graphics: AMD FirePro W4170M (2GB GDDR5 memory)
- RAM: up to 16GB
- Storage: up to 1TB
- Display: 15.6” UltraSharp, HD or Full-HD resolution
