Dell brings Windows 10 to Life with New XPS Devices

I am honored to join Dell today in New York City to showcase several of the newest XPS devices, optimized especially for Windows 10. It’s been an amazing journey to get to this point, with over a year of deep collaboration on new experiences, the positive early reception of Windows 10 which is now running on over 110 million devices worldwide, and now the chance to introduce the new XPS family to the world. Dell has been an amazing partner throughout, helping to unlock new customer value and choice, being one of the first to ship Windows 10 on new PCs this summer, partnering on the Surface Enterprise alliance, and joining us now as we celebrate all the innovative new devices on Windows 10.

With Windows 10, we are focused on delivering all new experiences with features like Cortana, Microsoft Edge, Windows Hello and the new Windows Store featuring hundreds of thousands of apps and games. We worked closely with Dell to ensure their new devices could bring the best of Windows 10 to life and offer our customers a range of choices. I’m excited to share with you the details of Dell’s new devices – the Dell XPS 15 laptop, Dell XPS 13 laptop, and Dell XPS 12 2-in-1.

Dell XPS 15

Two back-to-back Dell XPS 15 Touch notebook computers. One model is open 90 degrees facing left, the other is open 45 degrees facing back right.

The XPS 15 is one of the world’s smallest laptops with a full 15-inch screen – a screen that features Dell’s Infinity Edge display technology. This PC weighs as little as 3.9 pounds, but is definitely a notebook for power users, for either office work or gaming. It includes one-cable Thunderbolt 3 docking technology, as well as a minimalist form factor.

The XPS 15’s screen features Dell’s UltraSharp 4K HD resolution and it meets the 100 percent minimum Adobe standards for RGB – perfect for a graphic designer on the go. The XPS 15 features the latest sixth-generation Intel CPUs, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M GPU, up to 16 GB of RAM, and up to 1 TB of PCI Express solid-state drive (SSD) space for fast load times. It will be available in the U.S. starting at $999 on October 8.

Dell XPS 13

The XPS 13 is Dell’s slightly smaller model. This laptop received great acclaim at CES 2015, and is now based – like its other XPS cousins – on top-of-the-line Intel CPUs, features SSD storage, up to 16 GB of RAM, and Thunderbolt 3 technology.

One of the smallest 13-inch laptops available, the XPS 13 combines size, power, and battery life – and, it’s designed to function perfectly with Windows 10. The XPS 13 will be available in the U.S. on October 8, starting at $799. Dell is also offering a special Gold version of the XPS 13, available at select retailers for $1649 MSRP.

Dell XPS 12 2-in-1

Dell XPS 12
The XPS 12 2-in-1 features a magnetic connection that lets you pull it apart with one hand, making it flexible and versatile. The XPS 12 is one of the only 2-in-1’s with a true 4K Ultra HD display option for the screen, putting it on-par with top-quality desktop monitors. It also features two cameras: an 8-megapixel camera on the back of the tablet and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

The XPS 12 comes standard with a mobility base, which includes a back-lit keyboard and a touchpad, and a tablet stand and a case, which keeps everything nice and safe for travel. With Continuum in Windows 10, you can take advantage of all the great Windows 10 features and enjoy your PC in tablet and laptop mode. It will be available in the U.S. on November 5, starting at $999.

It’s incredible to see the innovation Dell is bringing to the market with this new lineup of XPS devices and they’re all designed from the ground up to deliver an amazing Windows 10 experience. I’m proud of the work our teams have done together.

We look forward to the customer response for these new devices and to delighting new and existing Dell customers this holiday and beyond. The XPS 15 laptop, XPS 13 laptop, and XPS 12 2-in-1 can help you be more productive, have more fun, and enjoy the very best of Windows 10.
