Toshiba’s dynaPad Tablet Delivers a Sleek Windows 10 Handheld Experience

It’s great to be in Japan today with Toshiba as they announce their beautiful new dynaPad Windows 10 device.

Windows 10 is off to a very good start in Japan. To date, over 3.2 billion hours have been spent on Windows 10 in Japan and, we’re very excited to see that the Japanese consumers prefer our Microsoft Edge browser over Chrome by a factor of two to one! We also introduced Cortana to our Windows Insiders in Japan and have been excited by the response.

Also in Japan our Windows customers have the highest rate of pen usage worldwide. That’s why it’s great to see the new advanced note-taking technology in Toshiba’s new dynaPad, taking advantage of the ability to write and annotate on our Microsoft Edge browser. People who buy a dynaPad will also be able to take advantage of everything else that Windows 10 has to offer including Cortana, your personal digital assistant, and Continuum, which helps people move seamlessly between PC and tablet modes on their Windows 10 devices as well as Xbox One Game Streaming.

The dynaPad is yet another mile marker in our great relationship with Toshiba and an impressive achievement in the 2-in-1 category. In addition to being a powerful note-taking device – designed to replicate the way people write on paper – the dynaPad has great support for Continuum, and is ultra-thin and lightweight. For more details of the device, please check out the Windows blog here.

Tomorrow I’ll be wrapping up the tour in Seoul. I look forward to sharing more then.
