GLOBAL – Nseries Portraits looks at how mobile devices are used by artists to interact with their world. The latest in the series (we covered Brazilian designer, Marcelo, back in September) features creator of the show Food Party, Thu Tran. The multimedia artist, who has a real bent for food, turns her hand to wide variety of disciplines, right down to making all the props for her online show, Food Party. That show has developed such a cult following, TV networks have picked it up.
During the Nseries portraits video, you can see Thu using an N97 to bring her closer to her work. Using it to snap packaging shots, update her blog and stay in touch. As an artist, it’s clear to see why the camera plays such an important role in her day to day life around Brooklyn.
