Meet the Must-Have App of the Year winners to start 2010

Meet the Must-Have App of the Year winners to start 2010GLOBALOviDailyApp‘s labour of love, highlighting the best apps to download each and every day continues like clockwork in 2010, but if you just picked up a brand new Nokia for Christmas, now’s a great time to check its picks of 2009, as voted by readers. The tallies have been counted and the winners are out, so see which made the cut as the truly essential apps.

OviDailyApp has totted up all your votes and revealed the winner in no fewer than nine categories, ranging from music photo apps to city guides. Some won’t come as much of a surprise to regular Conversations readers, with Gravity grabbing the top spot for must have Twitter app, and Nimbuzz scooping best social networking app. But it’s interesting to see AccuWeather’s weather widget coming top in the News and Info category, over a news service app.

We won’t spoil each and every category for you, but head on over to blogs.nokia.com/dailyapp/appawards/ and check out which apps you really shouldn’t be without. Disagree with any on the shortlist? Jot your thoughts down on the apps you use the most in the comments below.
