First up is the announcement that the Nokia Lumia 610 will be rolling out across the Asian market as of this week – big news for all Nokia fans out there! 🙂
Just as excitingly, Hong Kong recently played host to the annual Rugby Sevens tournament, which was held at the end of March. This sporting event is also seen as an excuse by fans and spectators to dress up in ridiculous outfits in support of their team – and I have to admit, it certainly looks like good fun!

Sporting fans in Hong Kong should also look out for the BMX Golden League, a series of world-class BMX events taking place between the 28th and 29th of April.
While on a slightly more cultural note, the Cheung Chau Bun Festival – one of the largest (if not the only) festival dedicated to buns in the world – also kicked off on April 22 with a ‘bun climbing’ event. The festival dates back over 100 years and originated in a sacrificial ritual for local villages to ward off evil spirits – and, apart from anything else, it is a very good excuse to eat lots and lots of buns!

Avid readers of Nokia Connects will surely not forget that Hong Kong was also one of the main host cities for Social Media Week 2012 earlier this year, and saw may exciting happenings including an event on ‘Dwitter‘ (Dating + Twitter), Random Acts of Kindness, and many more!
Nokia Hong Kong also recently created a giant Windows Phone using 550 Lumias part of an electronic roadshow in Mong Kok – If that isn’t awesome, I don’t know what is!
