There’s no doubt about it, the Nokia 808 PureView takes amazing photos. It’s only been in the market for a short period of time and already users have made the most of the PureView technology. We’ve found eight fantastic user photos from Flickr for you all to gawk at.

As is always the case with posts like this, we’d recommend you click through the links below to be taken to the original image. From there you’ll be able to see the photos in all their un-resized glory.

Who would’ve thought that five little rocks would look so beautiful? The crystal-clear focus of the stacked stones really takes centre stage against the out-of-focus backdrop.

Sometimes people like to capture great moments in history. Or a beautiful rare flower that only blooms once ever ten years. Then, of course, there are times when you may simply want to capture other beautiful things, like your evening dinner.

We’re not sure what this meal is, but it’s a great example of a food-photo. We can see prawns, egg, onion and some fresh veg on the side.

This image has some great contrasting colours. Set against a black sky, the purple canopy really catches your attention, as does the bright white street lamps and orange buildings.

There’s also a nice bit of motion-blur with one of the passers-by, too.

Richard Dorman

When it comes to taking photographs, Richard’s no stranger. He’s taken and shared hundreds on Flickr and this is another great one of a bridge somewhere in Luxembourg.

There’s no telling how far the drop is below as the vibrant green canopy of the trees block it from view. The bridge leads nicely to a clock tower, although you wouldn’t know it was a clock tower until you look at the original full-sized image.

Can you see what time it is?

Sea-Breezee

Taken on an Egyptian coast overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, this photo focuses on what’s in the foreground; a beautiful tree with white flowers. In the background you can see the marina as it vanishes beautifully, out-of-focus.

This is a real mix of colours. There’s the lush green of the golf course mixed in with the dark (almost black) green trees to the sides. And the menacing dark cloud to the right looks to hold off play for the day.

This is much like the last one, and quite possibly on the exact same day judging by the looming, dark clouds above. We like the contrast between the green grass and the dark clouds. Plus it has captured the mid-swing from one guy and a yawn from the other.

Sure, the Nokia 808 PureView is more than capable of capturing the world with blindingly brilliant full-on colour, but as this photo shows, it also takes a great black and white photo, too.

This photo reminds us of a smoke-filled bar you might see in an old detective movie.
