Lumia 630 Dual SIM with in-built TV launched in Brazil

Like live soccer? Love Lumia? With a special-edition Lumia 630 you won’t miss a match this summer.

Unless you’ve had your head buried in the sand, you’ll know that, next month, Brazil will host the world’s biggest soccer competition.

In response to this, and the nation’s fervent following of the sport, a Brazil-only version of the Nokia Lumia 630 Dual SIM with a Digital TV (DTV) signal receiver is being launched. Perfect for locals cheering on the ‘Canarinho’ and anyone lucky enough to be travelling to the country to support their national team.

The officially modified device keeps the same characteristics of the Lumia 630 that Stephen Elop announced during Build 2014; ClearBlack 4.5-inch LCD display, quad-core Snapdragon processor and attractive price.

Integrating the digital TV tuner was achieved by working with the INdT (Nokia Institute of Technology). Besides being a supercharged feature for the device, DTV is a requirement of the local government that encourages manufacturers to develop devices such as TV, computers and smartphones with a digital signal receiver.

Other features built into the Lumia 630 are the wonderful Nokia Camera app for making your photos look great, our favorite free music-streaming service, Nokia MixRadio, HERE Drive+ and the ability to download offline HERE Maps – perfect for a country as big as Brazil.

Who will you be cheering on this summer? Let us know!
