Thrill Shooters: Frozen Motion

Part two of our stunning Lumia and Red Bull Photography partnership brings you a world full of powder and performance from a world-class snowboarder, photographer and smartphone

Last month, we brought the jaw-dropping splendour of the Norwegian Alps to Conversations, courtesy of Ray Demski, ice-climber, Alex Luger, and the Lumia 1020.

Today, we head south, ending up in the beautiful Austrian mountains with Samo Vidic, who was assigned to capture ‘Frozen Motion’. He travelled with Slovenian pro snowboarder, Marko Grilc.

To say the results from his Lumia 1020 are astonishing is the understatement of the year.

With the powdered fresh snow, superb light and a Lumia 1020, he came away loaded.

“I wanted to capture backcountry snowboarding. That means powder backcountry kicker and some lifestyle. “
