Absolutely Phabulous: Launch of Lumia 1320 in U.S.
Heads up, our American readers! As of today, the six-inch Lumia 1320 “phablet” will be available nationwide from Cricket Wireless as a no-contract smart device.
The powerful Lumia 1320 was unveiled last October at Nokia World 2013, and since then, it has been turning heads with its performance, polish and size. Read our first story about this phabulous phablet.
Now, those of you living in the United States can get your hands on the 4G LTE vibrant orange smart device in Cricket’s online store and in its 3,000 bricks-and-mortar retail outlets nationwide.
Cricket’s monthly rate plans start as low as $35 and, if you act before July 10, you can get $50 off the $279.99 retail price with a mail-in rebate via the Cricket Visa® Promotion Card.
“With the Nokia Lumia 1320, we are providing big value to customers at a budget-friendly price,” said Andy Smoak, AVP of product management at Cricket Wireless.
Size matters
Sometimes, bigger is better: With the Lumia 1320’s expansive, color-rich 6-inch HD LCD display, you won’t have to squint when reading documents, emails, text, or when playing games or watching videos.
The smart device features 8GB of internal storage and is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. In addition, the Lumia 1320 sports an autofocus and flash-ready 5-megapixel camera with 1080p video-recording capability, and comes packed with useful apps such as HERE Maps, OneDrive, Beamer, and MixRadio.
Currently installed with Windows Phone 8, the 1320 will be updated for free to Windows Phone 8.1, which includes the Cortana personal assistant, in the coming months.
