Poll results: MWC 2015 Microsoft news
With the closing of another Mobile World Congress, we opened a poll to find out what you enjoyed the most from the mobile-tech event. Join us as we go through the results.
Positioned at the peak of our MWC 2015 news was the launch of the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL, scoring 35 percent of your votes.
With a large 5.7-inch HD display, a 3000 mAh battery, Windows Phone 8.1 (which can be updated to Windows 10 later this year) and packing a 13-megapixel camera with ZEISS optics, this new phone seems to be the device for many.
Here’s what one voter, Hradayesh Nimavat, had to say:
“Voted for Lumia 640XL. Seems brilliant device featuring ZEISS optics for first time in Lumia 6XX range, so its imaging experience should be best in class for mid range segment.”
Microsoft walked away with no fewer than 10 awards from Mobile World Congress this year. One of them was Best Mobile Tablet for the Surface Pro 3.
This news was your second favorite from Barcelona, with 24 percent of the vote.
The Surface Pro 3 has the power and performance of a laptop. It offers a 12-inch screen, up to nine hours of web browsing, a full-sized USB port, and a handy kickstand. A worthy winner, and you agree.
Collecting 18 percent of the votes is the other half of the smartphone duo that came from MWC–the Microsoft Lumia 640.
The Lumia 640 comes with a 5-inch display, a 2500 mAh battery, an 8-megapixel camera and is also upgradable to Windows 10 when it’s available later this year.
Thanks again for your votes and keep your eyes open for the next poll.
