Last month, we shared tips to set up Office 365 on your Lumia 640 or Lumia 640 XL. Now, let’s set up a domain name and your business email address in Office 365.

Office 365 helps you run your business more easily through cloud-based storage and Office applications such as Word and Excel for all of your devices. With Office 365, you can also add your custom domain and convert your email address to your business name.

To have a personalized business email address in Office 365, you first need to set up a domain name to use with email and other services.

domain name is a unique name that identifies a website (such as https://blogs.windows.com/devices/). Here’s a step-by-step video guide on how to set up your domain in Office 365.

Now that you’ve set up your website, here’s how to set up your business email or other Exchange-based email account on your Lumia with Windows Phone 8.1.

  • Tap Start, select Settings and choose Email + accounts.
  • Select add an accountExchange.
  • Enter your business email address and your password, and then tap Sign in.
  • Your phone will find your account settings, your email, calendar, and contacts and sync to your phone.

That’s it! However, if there’s a problem connecting your email account, check the help section on setting up a Microsoft Exchange or Office 365 email account here. Learn more about Office 365 domains and get further help here and here.
