The mashup of Angry Birds Epic and Sonic Dash comes to Windows Phone

Together at last: The characters on “Angry Birds Epic” go on “Sonic Dash”–but for a limited time.

There’s something fowl going on in “Sonic Dash!”

To celebrate more than 100 million downloads of the endless runner game, the characters in “Angry Birds Epic” have flown the coop to take over Sonic’s turf until July 2.

This three-week in-game event features a different avian from the free roleplaying game “Angry Birds Epic” each week: Red as the “Knight,” Chuck as the “Mage,” and Bomb as the “Pirate.”

Dash through the game and collect special Angry Birds Epic tokens to unlock your furious feathered friends. Once you unlock a character, it will remain playable after the mashup ends on July 2. You can also purchase Red, Chuck, and Bomb during the event.

“Angry Birds Epic” is a departure for the “Angry Birds” franchise as it trades in catapults for fantasy combat. Read more about the adventure here.

“Sonic Dash” has run rings around Lumia owners since December and shows no signs of slowing down. To join this epic crossover, download the game for free here.

Be sure to dash to the Windows Phone app store today, though—this fun mashup ends soon!
