T-Mobile to sell Dell Inspiron Mini 10 with Mobile Broadband

Today at CTIA Wireless 2010, T-Mobile is announcing they will begin selling the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 netbook with T-Mobile webConnect, powered by Windows 7 and built-in mobile broadband for T-Mobile’s 3G network. The Mini 10 is a 10” netbook that comes with Windows 7 Starter, an Intel Atom N450 processor, weighs just 3 pounds, and has an integrated 6-cell battery for up to 8 hours of continuous usage. The Mini 10 sold through T-Mobile will come with their webConnect Manager application which will enable people to quickly connect to T-Mobile’s 3G network and thousands of T-Mobile HotSpot network locations around the U.S. as well as other WiFi networks.

T-Mobile’s new offer is a great example of how a PC running Windows 7 with an “always-connected” 3G mobile broadband service can open up a new world of mobile possibilities. The combination means that customers can browse the internet, check email, watch online video and much more, without worrying about finding a WiFi connection or an Ethernet jack. All they have to do is just open up their netbook and get online. Windows 7 portable PCs and high-quality broadband can really tie your digital life together.

The Mini 10 will be available tomorrow online on T-Mobile’s website and select T-Mobile retail locations for $199.99 with 2-year contract and qualifying T-Mobile webConnect data plan.
