Tech Tuesday Live Twitter Chat – TBR #winchat

I once had a professor tell me that nothing matters if you don’t have the data to back it up. This has proven to be true in basically every realm of my life. As such, I tend to geek out on surveys, reports, infographs and every other document I can use to educate myself on the data. So, when a study came out talking about why consumers love tablets, but want more, I was curious. What did those numbers mean? Where did that data come from?

So, we reached out to Technology Business Research (TBR) to see if they would join our Tech Tuesday to share more information on the survey data. Luckily, they said yes and are joining us this week to talk about trends in tablet usage, what we want out of our tablets and where we tend to bring them.

“Owners love their tablets and use them constantly, but many want them to do more,” said Ezra Gottheil, Principal Analyst for TBR (@egottheil). “Now available in a range of sizes, prices, and capabilities, tablets are transforming the computing landscape.” This is something we already know at Windows, which is why we are psyched at the variety of tablet + PC form factors on the market. From the Surface RT and Pro, to the HP Envy X2 or the Asus VivoTab RT, tablets with docks and keyboards bring Windows 8 to life allowing people to work and play on products they love.

So, join us to find out why exactly owners are loving their tablets and why and how the landscape is changing.
