We try lots of things out with Surface, and have mocked up a lot of different types of Type Covers for Surface Pro. One that I thought was really cool was a Seattle Seahawks keyboard that someone on our team made in the model shop. I had a chance to meet Paul Allen, gave it to him, and he tweeted a picture. The response we got was exciting – on Twitter and from coaches and players. So we started to dig in on how we can do this for all the teams and NFL fans. It’s a natural place to explore given our relationship with the NFL and how Surface Pro is used on sidelines, in the coaches’ booth, and by many teams for playbooks etc. Oh, and the Surface team is FULL of NFL fans.
Just in time for the 2016-2017 season, we are introducing the new Microsoft Surface Special Edition NFL Type Covers.
So, just in time for the 2016-2017 season, we are introducing the new Microsoft Surface Special Edition NFL Type Covers. Officially licensed by the National Football League, the new type covers let you support your favorite team in style with beautiful full-bleed NFL logos printed on premium and durable material. And of course it takes advantage of our latest Surface Pro keyboard technology to give you the perfect amount of travel in every keystroke, spaced keys for fast typing, and a large glass trackpad.
We know that people who love their devices today also love to show their personality through the type cover they have chosen – whether it’s a pop of color or the sophisticated design of the new Signature Type Cover we launched earlier this Spring. So being able to show your colors for your favorite team as you use your device seemed like a cool option for our customers. I will certainly be using my Seahawk and Bengals covers this season.
With designs for all 32 teams, the Microsoft Surface Special Edition NFL Type Cover is available in the US and Canada for $159.99 USD at select Microsoft Stores and microsoftstore.com; and will be available at Best Buy and Amazon starting August 29.
