Nokia Asha 200 – the unboxing 101

Revealed at Nokia World back in October, the Asha series is a group of low budget, high impact phones aimed primarily at ‘the next billion’.

The Asha series are just hitting the shelves in India and the Philippines, so what better time to bring you some thoughts from around the world? The post in the Philippines Star doesn’t give much in the way of opinion, but what it does focus on are the messaging capabilities of the Asha 200. Highlighting ‘a colorful dual-SIM phone with a full QWERTY keypad for fast messaging’, the email/text/social media aspect of the phone is a definite selling point.

For a more close up view of the Asha 200, the unboxing from iGyaan in India tells you everything you need to know about the phone.

It’s a full on unboxing and first look, with a detailed view of what’s in the box and in the phone – menus, the ‘decent’ keyboard usability (with autocorrect), and gaming, before summing up that is

‘should be a really good option for those looking for a cheaper alternative for dual SIM needs from a reliable name such as Nokia’
