Hot off the press is Cristian Trohin‘s recent trip to Rome as winner of the Nokia Mapstronaut competition. We sent Cristian to the Eternal City armed with a Nokia N8 to document his amazing journey!

The past few weeks have marked an important time for Nokia in Romania, with the launch of the Lumia range in the Romanian market. The arrival of the Lumia was marked with an exciting launch party at the Barletto Club in Bucharest. Check out the pictures on the Nokia Romania Facebook page – personally, I just like the pretty lights. Everyone say ‘Ooooooh!’

Nokia also recently hosted a blogger meetup between bloggers and teens from Lazarus High School as part of our Blogging 4 Teens programme, which teaches young students and teenagers all about how to successfully run and manage a blog on their chosen passion – and perhaps even make a career out of it!
Back in December, Nokia were also the global partners for Mobile Monday Romania, a sort of local version of Mobile World Congress aimed at promoting the Romanian mobile market.
Two young Romanians that also bear mentioning here are Cristian Loloiu and Adriana Marica, co-founders of ‘Fill Apps’. After taking part in a Qt developer contest to create a new gaming app for global distribution, with the support of the Nokia Developer and Nokia Romania they went on to create an awesome puzzle app called ‘Fillr’:
So lots going on in Romania! And last but not least, I want to leave you with this amazing image of a shark taken by Dan Marcu on his N8 – it might not be Dracula, but it certainly has sharp teeth!
