Behind every great Lumia there is a great camera, and the Lumia 930 is no exception.

With a leading combination of hardware and experiences, the Lumia 930 is the perfect camera to capture the moment.

Innovative basics

Making that happen, besides your beady eye and trigger-happy finger, is a 20-megapixel PureView camera located at the back.

However, numbers alone don’t make for a better photo. The addition of optical image stabilisation (OIS) and 6-lens ZEISS optics make for an extremely effective camera phone.

For the more professional photographer amongst you, the Lumia 930 can also capture photos in RAW (DNG) form, leaving you with total control over how you want your photos to look or feel.

Even the front-facing 1.2-megapixel wide-angle camera’s designed to help you take superior photos – perfect for a high-detail group selfie.

Real-to-life video

While all of these are great for taking photos, they’re a huge help when recording video, too.

The Lumia 930 can capture video in Full HD (1920 x 1080), so that when you watch it back it’s as life-like as possible.

Throw in four high-performance omni-directional microphones and utilise Dolby audio and Nokia Rich Recording, and any sound is captured perfectly. Again, it’s almost as if you were there, thanks to the surround sound capabilities.

The next generation features

The Lumia 930 also comes with the latest imaging algorithms and renewed imaging apps for better pictures.

Capturing photos in DNG and lowlight have been improved and continuous autofocus with new algorithms to fight blur. Other imaging algorithms have been improved too that will result in better colour all round. These features will also be coming to Lumia Icon and Lumia 1520 as part of the Lumia Cyan update.

When it comes to apps and experiences, Nokia Camera, Creative Studio and Storyteller have been renewed to help you take the perfect photo, then edit and share it with your closest friends.

The new camera roll and Storyteller app feature a cool home-grown feature called Living Images that turns your static images into living memories. The Storyteller app also lets you share your images as a Story Video on your social networks.

The renewed Nokia Camera and Storyteller apps come pre-installed, and Creative Studio 6 will be available in the Windows Phone Store soon.

The Lumia 930 is on sale from this week with an RRP of $599 before taxes and subsidies. Sales begin in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Further rollout throughout the world (except the US) will continue over the coming weeks.
