Nokia Lumia Black Update: a retrospective
Regular Conversations readers should now be fully versed with everything Black. If not, don’t worry, here’s our handy, all-you-can-eat compendium, meaning you won’t miss a thing.
It all started on 9th January this year when Nokia announced the Lumia Black Update roll-out. In less than 15 minutes, more than 20,000 people arrived at Conversations to discover all the details and, more importantly, to find out how to get it. Your response was overwhelmingly positive…
…but you did have questions, which we (and you) answered. If your Nokia Lumia is yet to update, do check your territory and country list to check its status: Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, Middle East and North America.
Among the myriad features that many of us got for the first time – Nokia Refocus, App folder and Nokia Glance 2.0 – were some smaller under-the-radar updates that have similarly supercharged our Lumias.
You can personalise your ringtones. You can even stay safer when driving, thanks to Windows Phone driving mode.
And if you are an owner of a Lumia 1020 or Lumia 1520, you can now shoot in raw DNG format and now add DNG Color Profiles for Adobe Lightroom.

But what was your favourite Lumia Black Update attribute? To find out, we ran a poll. The results were plain to see. Or plain to peek. Nokia Glance Screen came out on top, with four in ten of you proclaiming your love for this fantastic feature.
